Organic Honey - With honey being so value rich, sharing all the benefits is not possible in this short format. However, here are a few major benefits. As a humectant, honey naturally absorbs moisture to rehydrate and help heal dry, sore lips. Used throughout history for its medicinal properties, honey has been shown to be a natural antibacterial helping our bodies more effectively heal. Product of Zambia, Africa.

Zambeezi - Partnering with Zambian farmers to produce the best organic, fair trade lemongrass oil

Organic Lemongrass Oil - Beyond the incredible scent it offers, Lemongrass oil has wonderful anti-microbial and anti-fungal properties. Growing to approximately 2 m (6.6 ft), the lemongrass plant is full of Vitamin A and C and great for strengthening your skin. Lemongrass is also regularly used tea to help with anxiety and bacterial cleansing. Product of Zambia, Africa 

Organic Coconut Oil - Coconut oil is saturated with fats, making it excellent for hydrating your skin and keeping it moisturized. It has also been shown to reduce inflammation and improve many skin conditions.

Organic Sunflower Oil - Rich in vitamin E, sunflower oil includes linoleic and oleic acid. These properties help to hydrate your skin, rebuild cells, reduce inflammation, and speed up the body’s healing process. Sunflower oil is also an emollient, keeping your lips smooth and healthy. 

Organic Jojoba Oil - Fun fact: taking the place of sperm whale oil in the 1970s, jojoba oil became an integral ingredient for the cosmetics industry. Not simply is it a sustainable, plant-based ingredient, but it also helps to moisturize by acting like your skin’s natural oils. By the way, it’s excellent at removing makeup safely, too.

Organic Mongongo Oil Fun fact: mongongo oil has been used in Zambia for generations as a moisturizer. Because of its linoleic and alpha eleostearic acids and high content of vitamin E and other minerals, mongongo oil is excellent at hydrating, regenerating and restructuring your skin. Product of Zambia, Africa.

Vitamin EVitamin E is wonderful for the health of your skin, repairing damaged areas by strengthening capillary walls. Improving the moisture retention and elasticity, it acts as an anti-aging nutrient, helping to maintain healthy skin. If that wasn’t enough, vitamin E also helps in the sun, protecting your lips from ultraviolet rays. 

Cinnamon Cassia Oil Cassia, derived from the same botanical family as cinnamon, is simply a sweeter varietal. Known to be helpful in relieving the body of tension, it can also work as a stimulant for your skin, which can even result in plumper lips. Fun fact: cinnamon cassia oil is considered one of the 50 fundamental herbs in traditional Chinese medicine.

Lavender OilFun fact: the benefits of lavender were discovered over 2500 years ago. Often integrated into aromatic routines to improve moods and reduce stress, lavender oil has historically been used for healing burns and cuts due to its antimicrobial properties. Lavender oil has been shown to be excellent at preventing and combating bacterial infection, as well as aiding in protecting your skin from the sun. 

Saponified Palm Kernel OilLearn more about our ethical sourcing of our palm kernal oil and our new partnership in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Saponified palm kernel oil is an incredible ingredient for creating natural soaps that moisturize and clean without the use of harmful chemicals. Saponification is simply the process of taking a fatty substance and turning it into soap. Lauric acid makes up 40% of palm kernel oil and is the source of the excellent lather of our soap when mixed with water.

Organic Rosemary OilRosemary essential oil is extracted from the leaves and the flowering tops of the plant. Due to its high antioxidant activity, rosemary is very beneficial to our skin and has been shown to be excellent at relieving pain and boosting the immune system. Organic Peppermint Oil Peppermint oil is an extremely versatile oil with documented use dating all the way back to 1000 BC. Peppermint oil increases your energy, protects from sunburns, supports healing after a sunburn, and helps to improve your skin’s overall health.

Organic Orange OilCitrus fruits including orange oil have high levels of vitamin C that help protect your skin and heal it. The smell of orange oil is proven to boost your mood and calm anxiety. The oil is extracted from the peel of the orange where there is a higher concentration of the orange’s active ingredients.

Organic Tangerine Oil Many citrus oils, including tangerine oil, help support the immune system due to the antioxidants they contain. Tangerine oil is also suggested to boost your mood. Like other citrus oils, the tangerine essential oil is extracted from the peel of the tangerine.

Zinc Oxide We’ve known for more than 2000 years that zinc oxide helps deal with burns and wounds, but zinc has many other benefits as well. Zinc oxide not only protects against harmful UV-A and UV-B rays, but also helps to lock moisture into dry skin, aiding in the wound healing process, and helping in recovery from burns and damaged skin. Zinc is the best natural sunscreen alternative to the harmful chemical formulas being used in most skin care products.

Organic Rose Geranium OilThe rose geranium plant is a type of geranium plant that smells strongly of roses. The oil has antioxidant and anti-aging properties, while also including anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties for your skin. 

Organic Ylang Ylang OilFun fact: ylang ylang means “flower of flowers” because of its sweet floral scent. In aromatherapy this oil is often used as a mood stabilizer. Because of the oil’s high percentage of active constituents called terpenoids, it is also believed to help preserve your skin.

Spearmint OilSpearmint is excellent at fighting bacteria, making a perfect addition to our soap formula, helping to effectively clean your hands and body. The oil is very relaxing and calming as well.

Tea Tree OilFantastic for your skin, tea tree oil supports dry skin by reducing irritation, making it a popular choice for treating acne. With high anti-inflammatory effects, it has been known to be used to aid in healing infections, cuts, and other wounds.

Ground CinnamonFun fact: cinnamon has been used for medicinal purposes for many years. Cinnamon is high in antioxidants which are believed to slow the aging process for our skin and assoicated with fighting infections and virus. It’s an excellent addition to our soap, cleansing hands and body while also helping to reduce irritation or allergic reactions.

Moringa Leaf Powder Fun fact: almost every part of the moringa plant can be used. Packed with anti-inflammatory benefits and antioxidants, Moringa is excellent at retaining moisture, soothing dry or burned skin and speeding up the healing process. It also contains natural antibacterial compounds believed to be able to protect your skin from infection. 

Paprika High in antioxidant properties, paprika is believed to be excellent at helping fight infections. It boosts the immune system with carotenoids, supporting the body’s natural defense against disease.
